I spent a lot of time this weekend working on my new creations and here they are...They are for sale on Ebay: 

Beauty...

I was looking at some pictures of nude Victorian women for some ideas for my art last night and it really struck me how distorted our view of beauty in this society, nowadays really is.....

The women in those pictures were probably about a size 8/10 and I would guess had a 34B size breasts...Nowadays the norm is a size 2 with DD breasts and bleach blonde hair, collagenized and botoxed...It is a fake beauty...how sad....I think the Victorian women are more beautiful than people like Pamela Anderson...

Has anyone out there read "The Little Prince"?  It reminds me of the chapter where he goes to a planet and they don't eat meals - they just take a pill if they get hungry.  The Little prince says "You are missing out on the beauty of the experience of the meal itself just replacing it with a pill..."  We are missing out on the entire aesthetic experience of beauty in women by altering ourselves so much....there is nothing original left to appreciate...

OMG My dear friends, it has been so long since I have updated my blog!!!  Well, to fill you all in - I was FIRED right before Christmas!  Yes, RIGHT BEFORE Christmas! Can you believe it?  My ex-boss is such a weasel - he had the nerve to hand me a Christmas card as he was walking me to the door!  What a jerk!  I spent the first 3 weeks of January looking for a job, then found a job working as an independent contractor for a marketing co.  had to get my entire home office set up in this tiny shoebox of a townhouse.  Otherwise , going to the Thrashers games regularly, having fun with my boyfriend Tim, enjoying my boys! Right now I am trying to get over this horrible, horrible respiratory infection--I fell like I have been sick forever! Hopefully I will have some new art to post soon!  Here is a picture of me and Tim from a hockey game---He is such an awesome guy!!!!!
