Inspirational Quotes

Gothic_by_tote_augen

"I know no disease of the soul but ignorance, a pernicious evil, the darkener of man's life, the disturber of his reason, and common confounder of truth." - Ben Johnson

"Humans are powerful spiritual beings meant to create good on the earth. This good isn't usually accomplished in bold actions, but in singular acts of kindness between people. It's the little things that count, because they are more spontaneous and show who you truly are."

"One in all, All in one, If only this is realized, No more worry about not being perfect!" - the Third Patriarch of Zen

"One good deed is worth a thousand prayers." – Zarathushtra

"When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." - ancient saying

"The universal law of karma ... is that of action and reaction, cause and effect, sowing and reaping. In the course of natural righteousness, man, by his thoughts and actions, becomes the arbiter of his destiny." - Paramahansa Yogananda

The Marvellous Mr. Tim

I can't believe that Tim and I are going to Jamaica for a whole week!!  I have the most awesome and amazing boyfriend in the world!!! I am so thankful that he is in my life!!  I just had to dedicate this entry as my "Ode to Tim"

Love is enough: though the world be a-waning,
And the woods have no voice but the voice of complaining,
Though the skies be too dark for dim eyes to discover
The gold-cups and daisies fair blooming thereunder,
Though the hills be held shadows, and the sea a dark wonder,
And this day draw a veil over all deeds passed over,
Yet their hands shall not tremble, their feet shall not falter:
The void shall not weary, the fear shall not alter
These lips and these eyes of the loved and the lover.

3. I speak/write French fluently and have since I was 9 years old!  Mais c'est depuis longtemps jusqu'a j'ai habite au Europe..j'ai oubliger beaucoup! C'est tant pis! Un jour je voudrai retourner au France, mais maintenant c'est trop....

4. I think that fountain pens are DIVINE --I got so used to them while living in Europe that I frequently buy the disposable ones at Office Max because I can't live without one!

5. I was in labor with my first son for 48 hours -insane.....

6. I was a member of NORML when I went to the University of Minnesota....I also was in several environmental protests in college (but never arrested) and was a member of MPIRG (I am such a tree- huggin' hippie! ain't it grand?)

7. I actually get cravings for organic/natural foods- the less processed /more organic the better (More hippie tendencies)...I could live off of fruit, vegetables, rice, fish, granola, etc....etc...but I do also love a good cheeseburger from Ted's Montana Grill every now and then as well as chocolate gelato from Sogno! Ahhhh Sublime!
